We are running 7 events at each show this year. Our club meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the club house. All AVDR members are welcome.

I think to cancell today was really stupid. It's the most beautiful day we've had in a long time. Did you have other plans ?

Who is stupid?
So it was stupid to not make everyone wake up early, load the horses, and then leave early because the show had to be cancelled because it DID RAIN? I don't know if the powers that made the decision had other plans, but to insinuate that they cancelled the show just because they did is ludicrous. Do you have a TV or Radio? All the forecasts said that it was a 90% chance of rain in the afternoon. And guess what? It rained!! I have been involved in several equestrian clubs and AVDR has always been concerned with the club's (which are the riders) best interest. They even posted the cancellation yesterday so thay you could make other plans. Some of us are trying to get CGA awards and if we don't do a whole show, then I am going to have to go to another arena or do time only events to qualify for the awards I want. And if it hadn't rained, I felt they cancelled it because they thought it was the right thing to do. Ok, so what is your suggestion? Wait until 8:00 in the morning and see if it is going to rain? Maybe it was beautiful out this morning, but what is the weather like right now? Do you really want to be riding in this?

I am sure that it was one of our kids that made the original post as no adult would post something like this when it was pretty evident that there was a good chance of rain.
