Please note: We are no longer participate as a CGA sanctioned district. Please refer to the AVDR Rule Book for the current rules and qualifications for year end prizes. We are running 7 events at each show this year. Our club meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the club house. All AVDR members are welcome.

Old Business:

  • Sherry Harris distributed the Welcome Packet for review/approval.
  • Rick Harris mailed the Flyers out.
  • Wendy Mesny Distributed Flyers to feed Stores. Thank you Wendy.

New Business:

  • Doug is having the arena leveled tomorrow. Hoping this helps with the flooding issue.
  • The Year End Awards have been ordered (to 10th Place).
  • Orion Westfall was given permission to purchase a new laptop for AVDR (under $400)
  • The Awards luncheon was discussed. We will schedule three rides and a match race. Details will be finalized at the next Board meeting.
  • The October 11th show will be the Annual Costume contest show.
  • Rick repaired the walls in the men’s restroom. Thank you Rick.
  • Grand Entry for the September 13th show will include all AVDR riders who attended the CGA State Championship.
  • Orion proposed a new rule regarding our local awards program. The proposal is as follows:
    1. If you win the saddle in your division and choose to ride the same horse in the same division the following year, you will not be eligible to win the saddle again in that division. If you choose to remain in the division, on the same horse, and finish the season in one of the top five spots, you will receive an AVDR Champion belt buckle.
    2. If you and your horse move up to the next highest division, you will be eligible to compete for the saddle in the higher division.
    3. This rule will not apply to the AAA division, as they do not have a division to bump up to.
